Semiahmoo Potters July & August 2025
During July, 16 SPS potters are sharing their creations in our pottery market in the Crescent Beach Pop-Up Gallery, 12180 Beecher Street. This Surrey City donated venue is a perfect place to bring visitors who want to shop for locally crafted ceramic gifts. The functional and decorative pieces available are unique hand built, wheel thrown, sculpted or Raku forms, many reflecting West Coastal life. Drop by the gallery several times over our month in residence. Potters will be bringing in new pieces as items sell. We enjoy chatting about various forms and potting techniques, as well as providing information about upcoming events and local pottery classes.
If you would like to receive regular e-notifications of SPS sales and events, and/or information about Public Classes for 2025, you can sign up at the pop-up in Crescent Beach. We’re looking forward to seeing you until July 27th. We are open 5 days a week:
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays
12 noon to 8 p.m. Fridays
closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Throughout July and August our pottery club members continue working in the Crescent Park studio. Because some potters are on holidays we won’t have scheduled studio events in July. As well, members are in the planning stages of what we will be offering the public.
We invite you to view our “Classes” link for current updates. Right now, we still have openings for community potters who would like to improve their handle building skills: Sunday, October 5th 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. master teacher David Lloyd “On pulling and attaching handles” is at our Crescent Park Studio on 132nd Street. Registration information is on our “Classes” link.
Watch for updates for an indoor/outdoor Open Studio event in August. Crescent Park has many public events in the summer. Semiahmoo Potters is looking forwarding to inviting the community into CPS and having a clay play opportunity for children outside. Stay tuned!
We are grateful for these many opportunities to fulfill our mandate “connecting communities with clay”. Thank you for your continued support and interest.
