Semiahmoo Potters March 2026

Our members have had a busy and productive February. A small group of our potters worked with some local Embers to create lovely bunnies. The girls got a chance to learn how to work with clay to express their creativity and bring home some new pieces in plenty of time for Easter. Great fun was had by both our potters and the Embers.

On the 22nd of February Charmian Nimmo lead a demonstration class for the public. Attendees were able to watch and learn how to throw off the hump; make lidded vessels and do slip trailing from this talented potter. She will be back on March 15th with another class on making sculptural animals.

A big thank you to everyone who came out to our Open House this past weekend. One of our members, Sue, did a demonstration where the public was able to observe our potters learning how to create and cast decorative handles.

We’re busy packing more events and workshops into March as well. As mentioned above on the 15th of March Charmian Nimmo will be hosting a public workshop on animal sculpture for any skill level.

On the 22nd of March we will be offering a public class for all skill levels on creating functional bowls using hump molds. Check out our “Classes” link for more information and to register for these Workshops. Spaces are limited.

At the end of the month we are planning on hosting another Open House where anyone can come in and watch as one of our members, Suzanne, shows us how to bravely construct teapots. Come and visit us, browse and purchase items from our in house gallery or just talk pottery with our members. We enjoy connecting with the public and sharing our love of all things pottery.
